PROJECT MANAGER

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Project Manager (we call them Design Managers internally) to join the Krew. If you’re an experienced architect who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.
 

As a Design Manager, you’ll co-lead a diverse portfolio of commercial projects alongside a Project Manager, steering work from concept through completion. You’ll drive and delegate design and production efforts, ensuring every detail aligns with client vision, code compliance, and constructability. You’ll collaborate with clients, consultants, and teammates to deliver architectural solutions that are innovative, functional, and impactful. At the same time, you’ll mentor staff, maintain high design standards, and help shape a culture of excellence within the Krew.

What You'll Do:

• Co-lead projects with Project Managers, focusing on design and production while they manage permitting and administration.
• Direct and delegate production efforts to deliver code-compliant, constructible, and innovative designs.
• Create and oversee complex architectural drawing sets, models, details, and prototypical standards.
• Lead design charrettes, execute studies, and prepare schematic or DD-level presentations.
• Mentor, guide, and support production staff in their growth and project contributions.
• Conduct field measurements and site visits, documenting existing conditions.
• Present design concepts to clients and translate feedback into actionable solutions.
• Perform quality control checks at each stage before handoff to the QC Committee.
• Research codes, systems, and materials to inform and support project design.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and partners to deliver integrated solutions.
• Stay current on design trends, software, and professional development opportunities.

Tools You'll Use:

Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and BIM Collaborate.

What You Bring:

• A degree from a NAAB-accredited architecture program or an accredited interior design program.
• 6–8+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and rendering software.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite for design presentations.
• Strong technical knowledge of building design, codes, materials, and construction methods.
• Ability to execute complex design and production tasks independently.
• Experience mentoring and coaching design staff.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and teammates.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional confidence, accountability, and leadership skills.
