DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for a Development Coordinator to join the Krew. If you’re an organized, detail-driven professional who thrives on problem-solving and keeping projects moving forward, this role is for you.

As a Development Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to link between our teams, permitting authorities, and project stakeholders. You’ll handle permitting, due diligence, and documentation with precision, making sure projects stay on time, in budget, and set up for success. From researching jurisdiction requirements to preparing submittals and tracking milestones, you’ll keep the process running smoothly while building strong relationships along the way. What You'll Do:

• Act as the point of contact with permitting authorities, building strong relationships to help expedite approvals.
• Research permitting requirements and outline timelines, standards, and documentation needs.
• Organize and lead pre-development calls with project stakeholders.
• Prepare, submit, and track permitting documents and approvals.
• Facilitate requests for fees and expenses, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Manage construction document printing, shipping, and official project correspondence.
• Track submittals and project milestones, maintaining detailed electronic records.
• Provide regular status reports to clients on project progress.
• Review construction documents for accuracy and consistency.
• Support teammates with additional tasks, contributing to strong team culture.
• Record billable hours accurately and consistently.
• Occasionally travel locally for submittals, planning meetings, or site visits.

• Adobe Suite or Bluebeam
• Standard office Systems

What You Bring:

• Completion of a two-year college program or trade school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 2+ years of professional experience (design firm experience is a plus).
• Background in sales, data analytics, real estate, construction management, development, permitting, or architecture strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-direct workload.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
• Ability to research, document, and problem-solve effectively.
• Professional demeanor, integrity, and initiative.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
