ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for an Architectural Designer (we call them Design Coordinators internally) to join the Krew. If you’re an architectural designer who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.
 

As a Design Coordinator, you’ll lead the design and production of corporate architectural projects from concept to completion. You’ll work closely with project and account managers to bring ideas to life by creating drawings, ensuring code compliance, and mentoring junior staff along the way.

This role is hands-on and highly collaborative. You’ll be trusted to take initiative, solve problems, and communicate clearly with clients and teammates. If you love both the creative and technical sides of architecture, this is where you’ll thrive.

Who You Are:

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design and production of corporate architectural projects from concept through completion
• Translate client goals into functional, code-compliant, innovative designs
• Develop full construction drawing sets, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and egress/code compliance
• Collaborate with project managers (we call them Development Managers), account managers, consultants, and internal teams
• Conduct field measurements and create existing condition models
• Mentor junior production staff and assist with redlines and design studies
• Attend client meetings, present designs, and take detailed notes to inform project direction
• Manage BIM setup and Revit models across project teams
• Ensure accuracy and quality through in-process QC reviews
• Stay current on codes, trends, tools, and new technologies in architecture

Tools You'll Use:

Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software like Lumion. You’ll also manage BIM Collaborate setups and contribute to visual presentations.

What You Bring:

• Degree from NAAB Accredited University
• Typically, 6+ years of experience
• Strong grasp of architectural principles, construction methods, and code requirements
• Confidence managing drawing sets and documentation across multiple projects
• A balance of creativity, practicality, and a passion for continuous learning
• High attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and collaborative mindset
• Confidence in your skills and a willingness to learn, adapt, and support others

The salary for this role starts at $60,000.00
